Exothermic welding is a simple, high-efficiency, high-quality metal connection process, which uses the chemical reaction heat of metal compounds as a heat source, through overheating (reduced) molten metal, direct or indirect heating work, in the special graphite mold cavity to form a certain shape, size, in line with the engineering needs of the fusion welding joint. At present, exothermic welding has generally replaced the previous mechanical connection methods between metals.

Precautions for the use of exothermic welding tools:
1.Before the construction and operation of the exothermic welding tool, it must be ensured that the welded part is free of dirt, and there is no welding slag block or welding slag powder left in the investment cavity and mold cavity.
2.Before the construction and operation of the exothermic welding tool, it is necessary to use the spray torch (or gas torch) to dry the welded part and the investment mold, so that it is as free of moisture as possible.
3.In the construction operation of exothermic welding tools, before ignition, it must be ensured that the investment cover is covered and there is no crack in the closure of the investment mold.
4.In the construction operation of exothermic welding tools, before ignition, it must be ensured that the welding point of the welded part is located in the center of the cavity.
5.During the construction and operation of exothermic welding tools, no irrelevant personnel shall stay within 1.50 meters of the site.
6.During the construction and operation of exothermic welding tools, no flammable materials shall be placed within the range of 1 to 2 meters on the site.
7.Operators must wear work gloves with a certain heat insulation effect.
8.The operator shall not face the investment mold opening to operate.
9.During ignition, once the ignition powder is ignited, the operator must immediately leave the investment mold at least 1.50 meters away.
10.When the exothermic flux reaction is complete, no person shall directly contact the investment mold and the welded part.
11.When the exothermic flux reaction is finished, the investment mold and the welded part must be cooled naturally for 10-20 seconds, and the vice (or similar tool) is used to remove it from the investment mold.
12.The insulation treatment of the welded part must be carried out after the wire is completely cooled.
